BAPS Swaminarayan Temple

The Swaminarayan Temple is a little outside of Kolkata. In North 24 Pargana district. This Hindu temple is located at a distance of about 25 km from Kolkata city.  However, the structure of this huge temple modeled on the Akshardham temple in Delhi is really worth seeing.  The form of this temple is not to be forgotten at dusk.  Every wall of the temple, every corner is decorated with masterpieces.  Seeing this silence and admirable work of art, you will not want to leave here.  I can bet on that.

There are also huge empty spaces outside the temple.  It is also beautifully decorated with different trees and fountains.

The Swaminarayan temple has a canteen.  You will also find restaurants outside the temple.  You will also find all the necessary arrangements for parking, toilets, etc. here.  Wheelchairs are also available for the elderly and differently abled.

From airport or from any other point of the city you can book a cab to reach Swaminarayan Temple.

Distance from Inter-city bus Service Stand (Babughat): 18.7 km.

To catch the bus you have to come to Babughat, Howrah or Dharmatala bus stop.  From Babughat you can reach this temple by 12C bus.  Or you can take a bus from Dharmatala or Howrah station to Diamond Harbor or Amtala to reach the gate of the temple.
